Benjamin Fine is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He is received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Texas A&M University (College Station, TX) and received his BS degree in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC). His research aims to analyze, understand, model, and control distributed systems that display social behaviors. He has published papers on biologically inspired multiple robot systems, group manipulation using static environments, robotic theater, sensing requirements for flocking motions in homogeneous groups, and on the current state of flocking and swarming literature.
